EXCLUSIVE : A Cross Brand Tournament For The New World Title Was Not The Original Plan

Yesterday during the Backlash press conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Triple H revealed how the upcoming tournament for the new WWE world title will be set in place.     Surprisingly, he announced a cross brand 12 men tournament to take place on 2 separate nights.  First part, this Monday on RAW there will be 2 triple threat matches between RAW superstars yet to be determined, the winners of those triple threat will face each other later in that night to determine which superstar from RAW will go on in the final of the tournament. A final already scheduled to happen at the next WWE PLE, Night of Champions on May 27 in Saudi Arabia.                                                The second part of this tournament will take place next Friday on Smackdown under the same formula of 2 triple threzts matches involving superstars from the blue brand with the winners facing each other later that same night,  on May 27 at Night of Champjons the winner of the RAW bracket will take on the winner of thé Smackdown bracket to crown the new WWE world champion.                          The big surprise of this announcement was of course the «  cross brand «  stipulation, as everybody was expecting a tournament taking place exclusively on RAW with RAW superstars only since this title was originally created to have a main champion on RAW while Roman Reigns could continue his dominating unstoppable run as WWE Undisputed Universal champion on Smackdown.                                                   This was indeed the original plan according to inside source,  Triple H’s idea was to involve RAW superstars only in the process, that was the plan until Vince McMahon came to play a few days ago.                                               WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, who as we now know as the power to overruling Triple H’s creative decisions anytime he wants, has decided over the last 2 of 3 days to made it a cross brand tournament involving both RAW and Smackdown superstars, it has been noted that despite that last minute change, this new World Title is still scheduled to be defended exclusively on RAW and if the title went on to be winning by à Smackdown superstar, he would be automatically moved to RAW with the belt.                                                         According to that same indice source, 3 very specific reasons were mentioned to justify that last minute change of the tournament’s formula to made it «  cross brands «                              1) Adding more intrigue and excitement to the process in order to made this tournament the more unpredictable possible.                            2) They don’t believe having enough draws to made the tournament a one brand only.           3) and the most interesting reasons of them all, it seems like the Saudi Arabian where the final of the tournament is set to take place, have requested for a specific Smackdown superstar to be on their show.                                          So who do you think will be crowned the new WWE World Champion on May 27 ? And who might be this Smackdown superstar specifically requested by the Saudians to be at Night of Champions 🤔

Wrestlemania Angle Planned For WWE Hall Of Fame Ceremony ?

 A new hint has emerged on a potential storyline angle that could take place at the 2023 WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony.                    Ahead of Wrestlemania 39 several wrestling veterans will be inducted into the hall of fame on Friday March 31.                                             WWE has confirmed that current Smackdown star Rey Mysterio will be part of the class of 2023.                                                                   Rey is currently feuding with his son Dominik Mysterio, after months of tormenting his father, Dominik has challenged him to a match at Wrestlemania which Rey has been reluctant to accept.                                                              There has been speculations that one final angle involving Rey and Dominik will take place at the Hall of Fame ceremony ahead of à Wrestlemania showdown.                                    These rumors have now been acknowledged by WWE commentator Corey Graves who has asked Dominik to leave his fath

Former WWE Superstar Gangrel Is Rumored To Be Part Of Edge’s Entrance At Wrestlemania 39

According to PWInsider Elite, former WWE superstar Gangrel is been flown into Los Angeles for this year’s event.                               The plan seem to be for him to take part in Edge’s entrance ahead of his Hell in a Cell match against the leader of Judgement Day Finn Balor.                                                           Further reports note that there is talk of Gangrel getting physical during the match, potentially working on a spot with Damian Priest.  Fans will remember Gangrel as the vampire leader of The Brood during the Attitude Era, a faction consisted of him, Edge and  Christian Cage.                                             Their goth faction was extremely over with the fans, and while Edge and Christian eventually moved to become bigger stars, Gangrel is still very active in the wrestling industry.                  Word is that he wanted to appear for WWE before and they’d shown interest but the timing never worked.
