EXCLUSIVE : Update On Mercedes Moné’s Potential Future After Loosing The IWGP Women’s Title

Mercedes Moné’s undefeated streak in Japan has come to an end last nigh when she lost the IWGP women’s title to Mayu Iwatani at the STARDOM All Star Queendom event.  A title that she won on her first match in Japan when she defeated Kairi at NJPW Battle of the Valley on February 18th.                                     While a lot of fans did not expected Mone to loose her title so early, a lot of speculations have now emerged regarding the future of the former WWE star.                                                 A source has provided me an exclusive inside report on what might be up next for Mercedes Mone.                                                                   « Mercedes Mone does not want to be tied down to a contract that limits where she can go, and that almost automatically remove WWE from the equation.                                    A return to the WWE is always a possibility, the company has been in constant contact with Mercedes Mone about a potential return, however, with how she is looking to be booked and how she is looking to be used, that seems a complete impossibly at this point in time.          She wants to stay in Japan, at least for a large part of her time, or at least base out of there, but she is also looking for work in the US, as she returns to home soil as it were.                     The fact that she is wrapping up her time in Japan or at least as a New Japan women’s champion means that a bidding war as immediately started.                                            The WWE are appart of it but that seems very unlikely, AEW are offering Forbidden Door appearances which means further work in Japan, a contracts that allows her to go to Japan for long periods of time, while working under the AEW banner. And championships feuds against the top women of AEW including Jade Cargill  who she herself wants to work with.
There is also interest of other companies, such as IMPACT and AAA, she wants to tour, these are all those différents interview where she stating everything she said on her Instagram and everything I’ve been able to learn as well. She wants to travel the world and work for différents companies but what I will say, and this is coming from people who work with her in Japan, her interest in wrestling has been massively renewed by her time away from the WWE. «                                                              AEW seems to be in pole position as regards of this bidding war for Mercedes Moné’s future services, as their scheduled formula would allowed her this touring scheduled with limited dates and the amount of contractual freedom she is looking for.
