EXCLUSIVE : Update On Drew McIntyre Contract Status/Intercontinental Program Incoming

 

There has been a lot of speculation recently regarding Drew McIntyre’s WWE contract status and future with the company.                   Some reports stated that McIntyre was unhappy with his current creative and financial position and that there was some concerned about him been willing to sign a new deal.        From what I can confirm from inside sources, Drew McIntyre has still approximately 9 months aheads before the end of his contract and hasn’t start any négociations yet about a new deal.                                                               There is no mention about him been «  unhappy » with his current position on the company, however , with his contract coming up by the end of this year some within WWE believe that it is time to give his character a boost. As regarder, a potential upcoming program with Gunther over the Intercontinental championship has been discussed.                                                           One of the reason is that Gunther vs Drew McIntyre one on one for the Intercontinental championship was the original plan for Wrestlemania 39 before they decided to add Sheamus to the mix and make it a triple threat, which at the end resulted to be a very wise choice since this match was unanimously recognized as one of the best matches of the show this year and was even awarded a 5 stars rate by Dave Meltzer which is apparently something that the WWE is paying a lot of attention to. A potential heel turn has also been rumored but nothing that I can really confirmed about that for the moment.                As regards of Drew McIntyre’s absence from Smackdown last Friday, many reports has stated that he was pulled out because «  health issue » the truth is that he was actually never planned to be part of the broadcast which might indeed means that he wasn’t fully healthy after his brutal encounter with Gunther and Sheamus at Wrestlemania 39.                    Drew McIntyre has been a huge asset to the WWE since returning in 2018 after having been released in 2014, he is now recognized as a world class athlete and there is no doubt that the company will do whatever it takes to make the Scottish Warrior happy and keeping him around as long as possible.

Wrestlemania Angle Planned For WWE Hall Of Fame Ceremony ?

 A new hint has emerged on a potential storyline angle that could take place at the 2023 WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony.                    Ahead of Wrestlemania 39 several wrestling veterans will be inducted into the hall of fame on Friday March 31.                                             WWE has confirmed that current Smackdown star Rey Mysterio will be part of the class of 2023.                                                                   Rey is currently feuding with his son Dominik Mysterio, after months of tormenting his father, Dominik has challenged him to a match at Wrestlemania which Rey has been reluctant to accept.                                                              There has been speculations that one final angle involving Rey and Dominik will take place at the Hall of Fame ceremony ahead of à Wrestlemania showdown.                                    These rumors have now been acknowledged by WWE commentator Corey Graves who has asked Dominik to leave his fath

Former WWE Superstar Gangrel Is Rumored To Be Part Of Edge’s Entrance At Wrestlemania 39

According to PWInsider Elite, former WWE superstar Gangrel is been flown into Los Angeles for this year’s event.                               The plan seem to be for him to take part in Edge’s entrance ahead of his Hell in a Cell match against the leader of Judgement Day Finn Balor.                                                           Further reports note that there is talk of Gangrel getting physical during the match, potentially working on a spot with Damian Priest.  Fans will remember Gangrel as the vampire leader of The Brood during the Attitude Era, a faction consisted of him, Edge and  Christian Cage.                                             Their goth faction was extremely over with the fans, and while Edge and Christian eventually moved to become bigger stars, Gangrel is still very active in the wrestling industry.                  Word is that he wanted to appear for WWE before and they’d shown interest but the timing never worked.
