Gunther Soon To Be In Top 3 Of The Longest Reignings Intercontinental Champions


 The incredible run as WWE Intercontinental champion continues for Gunther, who has surpassed another milestone in his title reign, he is now the longest reigning Intercontinental champion since The Honky Tonk Man’s legendary reign.                                                    Gunther has reached 281 days as champion, surpassing Mr.Perfect’s 280 days as champion from November 1990 to August 1991.                Gunther is now the fourth longest reigning champion since Honky Tonk Man, to begin the reign he defeated Ricochet for the championship on June 10th 2022.                        He is 4?days away to reaches another milestone when he’ll surpasses Greg Valentine’s 285 days as champion between 1984 and 1985.                                                       Randy Savage is the second longest reigning champion with 414 days from February 1986 to March 1987 losing it to Ricky Steamboat in one of the greatest matches of all time at Wrestlemania 3.                                                    The Honky Tonk Man still holds the record for the longest title reigns as 454 days from June 1987 to August 1988.                                            Gunther will defend his Intercontinental championship in a Triple Threat match against Drew McIntyre and Sheamus at Wrestlemania 39.
